Formo doesn't mark up AI usage. You connect your own AI provider key and pay them directly — usually a few pounds a month at this volume. That's why Formo can be a one-time price instead of a subscription.
What you also need
An AI provider key (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google or Groq). Expect roughly £5–40/month in AI usage depending on volume. Shopify is optional for order lookups. No separate automation host.

Yes. Standard and Plus are one-time purchases. Free stays free. There is no subscription to Formo and no usage fee for messages.

Everything keeps working. You stop receiving new product updates unless you renew under terms shown at the time. Free has no paid updates window.
The widget degrades to a contact-capture form for the rest of the month. No surprise charges. Cap resets on the first. See Free plan limits in the docs for how conversations are counted.
If Formo Support does not work as described and we cannot fix it, you get a full refund within 14 days on paid plans.
